• Adam’s furious that Ian was hit and keeps urging him to go to the police. Ian’s thinking of the hotel’s reputation and asks Adam to let it go. Caroline’s trying to reach Borsetshire Life’s editor, Glen Whitehouse, to ensure snaps of the scuffle aren’t to be published but only ever gets his answerphone.
• Eddie finally has to tell William that Edward and Mike have rented land from the estate. Then Clarrie hurries Eddie and Joe inside to get cleaned up for lunch at Grange Farm. There they meet Ed and it brings back memories for Clarrie of the boys and children. After a champagne toast, a good lunch is had by all; William wasn’t invited.
• Adam quizzes Will to see if Lynda’s about and Will returns the favour by learning more about Ed’s growing empire. He feels he needs to clarify to Adam that it isn’t he’s hoping Ed will fail, just the opposite, for George’s sake he better not!
• Oliver finds out what’s troubling Caroline. It isn’t that Glen would use the pictures in his own rag, but that he’d sell them on to one that would. Who knows where they’ll end up!
