Chris and Alice decide to stay in Ambridge. Elizabeth rejects Ifti’s advances.

Radio Times: Kathy shares her insights, and Elizabeth is taken by surprise.

Elizabeth is entertaining Iftikar to dinner. They both seem to be enjoying it. Then Elizabeth lets slip that the twins are at the cinema that evening…… How perfect says Ifti. Eventually they move to the sofa and Ifti makes his move which Elizabeth spurns. It’s all too soon. So apparently amicably, Ifti leaves for the evening.
Pat meets up with Kathy. Kathy says Jamie is thriving though she wishes he’d stayed at college. Pat is focussed on the farm. Kathy seems to be siding with Tom. Pat and Tony need to be winding down. But Pat still says how she is attached to the herd and Kathy couldn’t possibly understand. Kathy continues to press that she and Tony need to think about the future, they can’t keep going as they are.
Christopher finally tackles Alice about Canada. He says he has decided that if she wants to go, he doesn’t want to hold her back. He’ll go with her. Alice doesn’t believe it. She is absolutely thrilled that he loves her so much. And it’s made her decision so much easier. She has decided she wants to stay in Ambridge. Chris is pleased and says this doesn’t rule out a move in the future but for now what matters is them being together.
