  • Hayley is really excited about a new house and they’ve even put in an offer. It’s not huge but it’s really well designed. Lizzie warns her to think about kids growing up and needing more bedrooms but Hayley is more focussed on getting the offer accepted – which in the end it wasn’t – not even close. Well, maybe it wasn’t the right place since they are trying for a new baby. Fingers crossed the fertility tests show nothing wrong.
  • Clarrie is still thrilled about Paris. It’s 14 years since they last went and they never even got to the Eiffel Tower. She’s a bit nervous about leaving the dairy but Pat tells her they’ll cope! She also tells Clarrie that the biggest donation came from Susan.
  • Kirsty arrives at the dairy to ask for more ice cream and Pat and Clarrie are wondering where she had got to until so late at the party last night. Things are going well at Bridge Farm – carrot sales are up and Tom has ideas of people dressing up as reindeer to promote his venison sausages. Kirsty admits to Pat that she has a bad feeling about Ross. She tells him about him appearing from the flat last night. It doesn’t feel right. But Pat is so pleased to see Helen getting out and about; she thinks her judgement must be right.
  • Once Clarrie knows that Susan made such a big donation to the Paris present she pops around to make her peace and offers a free Grundy turkey for Christmas. It all ends in hugs and a much better atmosphere.
