David loses his temper with Brian when he tries to talk to him about Siobhan. Tom and Brenda decide they need a place of their own.
Radio Times: Tom’s romantic night is put on ice.
Characters: Brenda, Brian, David, Helen, Ruth, Tom, Tony- Helen is making a picnic for Tom and Brenda which Tony doesn’t understand – what is wrong with a Sunday roast. Tony isn’t sure what he’s doing later either….
- David isn’t impressed to be hearing about Brian’s away day with Siobhan. He tries to explain that Jennifer will find out but Brian is convinced she won’t know and since Siobhan has been ill he had no choice. Brian can’t understand why Siobhan didn’t call to him – he needs to know where his son is. David is very unsympathetic. He really doesn’t want to hear this. He actually yells at Brian that he doesn’t want to hear anymore about his being unfaithful to Jennifer but then Ruth walks in. He won’t explain to her what is going on and disappears to the lambing shed.
- The ice skating goes well. Brenda is pleased Helen has helped organise Tom’s birthday. It shows she is thinking outside herself. But Tom thinks taking Gourmet Grills to the ice rink might be a good plan – so Brenda lets him fall over!
- Brenda and Tom get home for their cozy night in with dinner, wine and a dvd. Tom suggests buying somewhere for them together – they just get down to talking about it and then Tony comes back from the Bull to have an evening in front of the fire. So that’s it decided. They will just have to get a place of their own.
