Deck the Hall is a big success.

Radio Times: Lower Loxley gets into the festive spirit.

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • At Lower Loxley, Deck the Hall is in full swing. Nigel is full of praise for Joe and Vicky’s decoration of the barn – but then he doesn’t appreciate how much cider punch Joe sold yesterday, or that fact that he is going to sell off the kissing boughs; Vicky assumes he has permission and Joe is content to leave her with that impression. Elsewhere Father Christmas is greeting (and occasionally admonishing) children in rhyme, it is Elizabeth’s turn to coo over baby Oscar, a choir sings (Deck the Hall – what else), Helen is a big hit with Jake and Mia and Brenda has taken some fabulous photos. There has been a lot more visitors than Elizabeth expected.
  • Elizabeth admits that she could not have managed the twins without Nigel being such a hands-on dad and Caz confesses how much she has missed Justin. He will be back tomorrow.
  • Vicky reveals her Christmas plans: Roy has the day off and Hayley’s parents will be joining them. Only Brenda will be missing, preferring to be with Tom at Bridge Farm.
  • Finally Oscar takes to mum’s sling and ascends to the tree-top walk. It’s beautiful and if only daddy were here it would be perfect.
