Characters: Brian, Eddie, Hannah, Jazzer, Jennifer, Tom- Hannah’s Internet research convinces Jazzer to place four pens together with the weigher in the centre. He tries to get Tom to praise Hannah; easier weighing means more frequent weighing so target weights aren’t overshot saving on feed. Tom agrees, but it slightly worried by the smaller pen size.
- Brian has to take the afternoon shift in the lambing shed. Adrian’s got flu and Adam’s in Oxford until Thursday. He’s worn out before long and Eddie’s late taking over. He tells Jenny the most unreliable man in Borsetshire is probably curled up in a pub somewhere.
- Eddie is stuck in mud with a trailer load of logs. Tom arrives and eventually pulls Eddie out but leaves his phone behind. Eddie just pops into the Bull to hand it back at the moment Brian rings Tom and gets the wrong end of the stick.
- Eddie arrives and Brian berates him, saying he knows he was at The Bull. Jennifer tries to get him to listen. Eddie doesn’t get a chance to explain and Brian finally says if Eddie can’t turn up on time, he may as well not turn up at all. Eddie says nobody speaks to him like that. “I’m going home for me tea.”
