Eddie’s not going to give up his ferrets.

Radio Times: Eddie can’t believe his ears

Characters: , , , , , , , ,
  • Lynda, following the design makeover TV programmes at a respectable distance, finally catches the Feng Shui bug … Robert is less convinced. Later, they visit The Feathers in Felpshersham on a fact-finding mission, to taste the Brookfield/Home Farm branded “Hassett Hills” lamb – which receives favourable reviews.
  • Clarrie visits Brookfield, sees that Tess and Baby Spice are doing well, and David offers Eddie some work.
  • Mike, keen to promote the Pick Your Own, is leaving leaflets everywhere and even has Brenda getting them a spot on the radio (again) – an example of a farmer’s diversification.
  • Ruth receives her appointment for the breast clinic – Monday week, the 12th. This time, David promises to go with her.
  • Eddie, helping Mike repair some fencing at Brookfield, hears that the grapevine reports that Debbie is sniffing around the vacant Grange Farm. He’s not entirely surprised and is sure that this whole situation has been a Aldridge stitch-up.
  • Back at the flat for lunch, Joe’s enjoying having Clarrie and Eddie home, but it’s spoiled when a rep from the landlords arrives to highlight that their ferrets cause them to be in breach of their tenancy. Eddie’s furious, but Clarrie deals with it by claiming that they’ve advertised them and they’ll be sold imminently. There’s still anger in the air, she doesn’t like lying and Eddie would seem to rather be out on the street than lose his animals.
