  • While making doubly sure that the fence is now mended, Pip gets a visit from Ed. He almost told Adam about the Brookfield cows getting out but he thought he had better check whether she has told her dad yet. No – and anyway she doesn’t think it relevant. He is sure Pip will do the right thing.
  • Josh has a bone to pick with Rex. The cultivator sold this morning but the client is not paying because the buyer came to him privately – allegedly. Josh takes a very high handed view in telling Rex off.
  • Emma has news for Ed. She has bought a trampoline and a party. Ed goes ballistic over the cost but Emma insists she has it in hand: she will be working evenings in a chicken factory, starting Monday. Their children deserve better.
  • Eddie has been grovelling to David about what Joe had said to him. He also mentioned that Josh is underpaying Rex.
  • Josh has discovered that Ben is getting hassle on the school bus; they were calling him lurgi-boy. Perhaps that’s why he is being uncooperative. Pip feels awful though Josh doesn’t understand why. He also takes a dim view of being told how to run his business by his dad, who has screwed up big time.
  • Ed digs his heels in about erecting the trampoline but, with Eddie’s encouragement, agrees to get up early and do it in the morning. He confides in his father that he feels Emma has given up on him. He is adamant that her third job is not going to happen.
