Characters: , , , , ,
  • Susan turns out to be a fan of Charlie, possibly the only one. Jim is worried to find out about the new digester and the open day though Susan; rather surprisingly, given how much she opposed the plans for the digester at Home Farm, she is supporting it.
  • Fallon has found out that Don certainly intends to sell Jaxx to the chain, Sheldon’s. But she is also planning an Edwardian flavour to the fete including Jill as Mrs Pankhurst.
  • Susan finds Neil fast asleep at home and the house in a mess. He’s finding getting up so early to get to Bridge Farm a struggle. Bridge Farm are taking advantage, he needs to have a proper word with Tony but Neil tells her not to go on at him. He goes to The Bull later to avoid her and hopes she will be asleep by the time he gets home.
  • Brian meets Matt in The Bull. He still can’t cope with the kitchen. Kenton teases him by suggesting that the kitchen would be a sideshow at the fete. And goes on to suggest that given Lilian’s knitting prowess that she might do a knitting demo on the handicraft stall. Matt says he is sure she would be absolutely delighted. Then Jim turns up to take on Brian about the digester. He wants to know why Brian hasn’t been opposing it at the Board. Fallon balances things up by tackling Jim on the sale of Jaxx and says she has been given one month’s notice. Why didn’t he mention it? Jim takes offence when Kenton compares Jim to Brian in claiming that they are unable to influence things. Fallon tells Kenton she definitely won’t be working for Sheldon. She doesn’t want to work for a corporate.
  • Matt tells Brian the road could be a godsend. Brian says he can’t see the fuss about the new digester – it’s all green technology. And he admits to Matt that his shares in BL are doing pretty well out of it.
  • Fallon tells Kenton that Harrison thinks losing her job might be a godsend. The “upcycling” thing might be something she can make a living out of it. Kenton suggests Loxfest might be just the big platform for her to launch it.
