Fallon helps Harrison to formulate a plan for the cricket team. Jennifer worries for Lilian’s reputation .
Radio Times: Jennifer wants to put an end to the rumours, and Fallon thinks outside the box.
Characters: Brian, Fallon, Harrison, Jennifer, Justin, Kenton, Lilian- Justin decides to take some time out at his own expense and invites Lilian to attend the races with him today. He chooses his moment to let tell her that Miranda will be making an appearance this weekend and just to throw her off their scent, he will take Miranda away to a grand hotel in Felpersham.
- Kenton tells Jennifer that several hushed conversations in The Bull have been about Lilian and Justin. Jennifer is at a loss over what to do and worries for Lilian’s reputation. Lilian is not helping herself, but nor did Kenton help the situation with some of his onstage risqué jokes directed towards Lilian and Justin’s panto characters. Jennifer later tackles the subject with Lilian, who brushes off her concerns. Justin’s invitation for Brian and Jennifer to join him and Miranda for dinner in Felpersham provides a tidy solution for Jennifer as they can be seen as two ordinary couples socialising, which may help scotch the rumours.
- Fallon plans a different approach to Valentine’s Day in the tea room. Harrison continues to meet dead ends with his cricket team recruitment and considers marshalling the retired members. However, Fallon is more forward thinking and suggests he invites women onto the team.
- Kenton has taken Freddie on driving practice and he has confided to Kenton that he did not actually pass his maths resit. He has booked a third retake unbeknown to Elizabeth.
