• Grey Gables has gone to the dogs – even Marjorie has been called in to help with their walking, Jean-Paul is still being particularly helpful and, just to make things worse, Lynda has brought Hermes in too. Indeed, boisterous they may be, the guest dogs are generally well behaved and it’s Hermes who decides to join Jill for a swim in the pool! Lynda, though, is not unduly apologetic and is more worried about him catching cold than the expense of closing, draining and cleaning the pool!
• Jill turns down Peggy’s request that she model at the fashion show, but is feeling more like doing the pantomime – and even tries to convince Ruth that she should be Jack.
• Ruth is, like the rest of Brookfield, worrying about the results of the TB tests on the herd. Phil’s distinctly pessimistic and Ruth would rather not think of anything until they know the repercussions for sure.
