Heather and Jim really hit it off as Shula’s party.

Radio Times: Kathy fights fire with fire.

Characters: David, Heather, Jim, Kathy, Kenton, Ruth, Shula

• Ruth and David have heard from Phil and Jill. They seem to be having a great time. At least they have Heather for Christmas. They’ve also heard Debbie is coming back.
• Jim is trying to help with the decorations by sticking up paper chains but it results in the demolition of the Christmas tree. Shula begs him to stop being nice to her. She preferred it the way it was before – it was safer!
• Kenton finally gets Kathy to the Doctor even though she doesn’t believe she is really ill. She knows Elizabeth is trying to put things right but Kathy is just so angry with her. She can’t bear to be in the same room.
• Heather and Jim seem to hit it off. He even offers to tell her which cruises he is lecturing on next year so she can join him. He’d welcome having someone interesting to talk to.
• Shula is worried that Elizabeth is overdoing things she is looking very tired and it doesn’t help having Kathy away sick as well.
• The Doctor has told Kathy she needs a lot of rest and Kenton has helped by booking them all into the Bull for Christmas lunch. That way they can give Jamie a proper Christmas.
