  • Helen is still overdoing things – going into the shop on a Sunday to do a stocktake. Pat and Tony try to persuade her not to but she won’t have any of it. She is feeling very energised late in pregnancy. She’s even planning to work later than she had planned – up to two weeks before her due date. Kathy has come round again so Tony is even happy to do the washing up to avoid her. But she falls asleep in front of the DVD anyway.
  • Nigel and Elizabeth are having to get to grips with the fact that Freddie is unlikely to pass the entrance exam for the Cathedral School. Nigel is so worried that he will end up at Borchester Green he wants him studying all through the holidays. Elizabeth reluctantly agrees but is less impressed when he insists Lily has the lessons too – who know she may even get one of the scholarships.
  • It’s Stir Up Sunday at Glebe Cottage. They are going to use the sixpence Phil found with his date of birth on it.
  • Pat admits she doesn’t believe Helen is listening to her body. She says she is feeling well but Pat isn’t so sure. Tony walks out. Helen has done this whole baby thing just the way she wanted without listening to a word of sense from anyone. What makes Pat think she is going to start now.
