  • The family at Brookfield are finding it a tough day, knowing it will be their last Christmas there. Jill cooks a lovely meal which they all enjoy, but it is tinged with sadness and reminiscing among the family. Jill has something to tell the family but has she withheld something when she tells them all she loves them? Roy texts Elizabeth to wish her a Merry Christmas.
  • Festive spirits are high at No.1 The Green. Joe and Eddie are in good voice and treat the family to a duet. Forthcoming wedding plans are discussed and Emma later confesses to Ed that she never made a wish over Christmas lunch, as she already has everything her she could ever wish for.
  • With opening night tomorrow, Susan recites some of her Blithe Spirit lines to Emma. Ed takes the family by surprise: he’s borrowed a snow machine for outside the window to make George’s Christmas wish come true.
  • David is tending the heifer, which is doing well, when Jill comes to tell him that she has changed her mind about moving to Northumberland. Her life, her friends and family, her history, Phil, are all in Ambridge. She is desperate for David to understand and give his blessing.
