Radio Times: Adam wants the truth, and Lexi clears up some confusion
Characters: Adam, Ian, Kirsty, Lexi, Lily, Pip, Roy, Toby- Kirsty and Lexi visit the bookshop for an evening talk but for some reason she insists on staying outside even though it is crowded. And then Roy turns up and it is clear she has set them up. They go in to hear the speaker anyway. They queue up to get their books signed. Roy has to explain what “bonkbuster” means. But she shouldn’t mention it to Jennifer – she starred in one once. Roy has mentioned that Phoebe is away for a couple of days and Lexi isn’t keen on ending the day early. After a long chat, Roy mentions again that he knows she is with Constantin. Lexi is horrified. Roy needs to have a chat with Phoebe about the pregnancy test he found. She certainly isn’t with anyone.
- Lily bumps into Toby delivering gin to the Orangery. The gin is doing well and so Lily starts wanting royalties on each bottle. Lily decides that in the first instance they should provide Scruff gin at cost to Lower Loxley for a minimum of 6 months and then they might reconsider if he wants to use her drawing on t-shirts or beer mats. Pip arrives and isn’t surprised that Lily got her way. Pip says she is glad that they can work together. Then Toby gets a call – it is from the same events organiser that Roy tried to date.
- Adam is trying to woo Ian with an Indian takeaway in the garden. They have a nice evening. They talk about their relationship. Ian says he is content enough. Adam doesn’t think it is enough. They shouldn’t settle for second best. They talk about what one thing they would change and Ian admits he would still love a child, but he isn’t convinced that they are the right couple to bring one up.
