Jamie makes his statement to the police but it is too soon to say if he will have to go to Court.
Radio Times: Jamie faces the music, while Lynda gets ready to celebrate.
Characters: Eddie, Jamie, Joe, Kathy, Lynda- Clarrie isn’t at all well. She is blaming Eddie for dodgy sausages at a barbecue. He only did it to give her a night off. It’s not his fault…… They bump into Kathy and Jamie dashing off and Jamie looks awful. Joe and Eddie guess he must be ill with a bug so they are on the way to the doctor – same as Clarrie.
- Jamie does well with his statement to the police. He makes it as clear as he can that it’s Steve who was the main person responsible. He took the keys and Martin wasn’t interested either. The police can’t say yet whether he will be needed in court. It depends on any charges and how Steve and Marty plead.
- Joe tells Lynda that George can’t go in for the scarecrow competition. Emma and Ed just don’t have time. Lynda is going for a Bo Peep theme for hers.
- When Lynda finds out Clarrie is ill, she pops round with some camomile flowers for camomile tea. Poor Clarrie. She takes the opportunity to deliver their party invitation. Eddie hopes for the chance to do a turn but Lynda doesn’t sound so keen.
- When they get back from the police station, Jamie tells Kathy she’s been amazing. She says she is just so grateful he is alright and didn’t get the car. And she’s proud how he’s faced it. He is very worried about going to court. He remembers how much it upset Kathy being a witness. But he is grateful to her – especially for the omelette and chips.
