Jazzer ‘s romantic plans move up a notch. Brian’s development plans move up several notches.
Radio Times: Brian has a decision to make, and Jazzer gets one step ahead.
Characters: Adam, Annabelle, Brian, Jazzer, Jennifer- As Jennifer returns from a successful strawberry-selling day in Borchester, Jazzer is waiting for her. Fully aware of his purpose, Jennifer waits until Jazzer has finished unloading her van before telling him that employment law precludes releasing Zofia’s phone number, and Health and Safety precludes allowing him near to poly-tunnels to ask her in person. All Jazzer’s efforts appear to be in vain.
- Penny Marsh appears even cooler and more trenchant than Annabelle as she meets Brian and Annabelle to disclose details of the supermarket project. If BL can move quickly, allowing the council to accept the supermarket’s offer, it looks as though planning permission will be no problem. Brian still has doubts about Matt’s intentions.
- Jazzer plays his last card in his pursuit of Zofia; he asks for a copy of the pickers’ programme. Jennifer finds one, but it contains only dates. Luckily for Jazzer, Adam then appears, and fills Jazzer in. If there is room on the bus, Jazzer can come.
- Brian musters a battery of arguments against hosting Open Farm Sunday, while Adam, backed by Jennifer, sees it as a great marketing opportunity. But David needs an answer today, so Brian must make the decision.
- It seems that Jennifer has not made much progress with the rural bodice-ripper she has chosen for the book-club, though, as she points out with eye-watering condescension, it should not be too daunting for some of the members. Even Pat has decided to join.
