Nigel is delivering his free cases of wine to the pickers. David is looking forward to trying it. David is trying to avoid talking about Brian and what is going on their. At least the Roman costumes fit but how are they going to ride bikes in them.
Brian isn’t really focussing on the farm. Everything is a mess. But Adam is coping. They’ll have to make decisions about the farm soon. Jennifer is determined to go the May Ball at Grey Gables – she isn’t going to put her whole life on hold, but brushes of Brian’s attempt to talk.
Nigel is planning on dressing up as Uncle Rupert for the bike ride. And he want Elizabeth in top hat and tails in one of Julia’s old stage costumes.
Jennifer is still convinced going to Dublin was the right thing to do but it was very hard. Brian didn’t try to hide anything but it still hurt that he was with Siobhán. And then she feels guilty because Siobhán is so ill. Jennifer now knows that Brian won’t ever give up his son but Jennifer doesn’t want to lose Brian either. She still doesn’t want to have to make a decision and is still hoping it won’t come to that.
In the end, the Pargeters and the Archers look great in their costume. But they are getting pretty competitive now! The Roman versus the British Empire!
