Jenny plans some celebrations. Ruth changes her mind. George and Keira wreak havoc

Radio Times: Emma feels put upon, and Jamie comes to Kenton’s rescue.

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • Jenny plans a treat for Ruairidh’s end-of-term – ratatouille. As Brian smugly remarks, expensive prep schools do encourage children to develop a taste for such foods. He is even more smug about having secured head-hunters to find him a herd manager, and when Jenny suggests a celebratory family party, Brian assumes it is to celebrate his amazing chairmanship of BL. Jenny actually means Adam’s recovery and the return of Ruairidh and Phoebe.
  • David tells Ruth repeatedly how glad he is to have her home, looking much better. Pip is returning, too, and looking forward to harvest. David is even pleased to hear Josh’s music again.
  • Kenton is still wrestling with his community games idea and avoiding Lynda. He meets Jamie, out jogging in an effort to improve his fitness for the match with St. Mag’s. Kenton manages to wind him up about it, and when Jamie says he could sort the games out, Kenton accepts the challenge.
  • David tells Ruth he has decided not to give evidence. Ruth tells David she had been thinking about something Kenton said. She wants David to give evidence so that their tormentors will go to prison. David’s relief is beyond words.
  • Susan nags Emma about keeping the house tidy, the children under control, and lending a hand. Resentful Emma is barely polite, but thinks it wise not to tell Susan that Keira has broken Susan’s precious china owl.
