Joe calves the first calf at Grange Farm. He won’t let Oliver down but Eddie is still intransigent.

Radio Times: Jazzer shows his sensitive side.

Jazzer is very upset about the pain one of the cows is in. It’s all he needs, one of the cows dying on him. But it’s just one of the cows calving. Jazzer isn’t quite up to dealing with Nature’s little miracles…. He’s still a bit shocked in the pub later. Oliver, however, is very impressed at Joe’s skills. He’s very pleased he didn’t give it all up. Joe promises he won’t let Oliver down.
Clarrie is planning to prepare a special dinner for Eddie – he deserves a treat but she does still want him to help with Joe. It’s also such a comfort to her to know that Fallon is out looking for Ed. Clarrie knows Fallon won’t give up.
When Eddie comes in, he’s not interested in the special meal. He’s already eaten. He wants her to go to the Bull with him but she wants to stay home in case Edward rings. Eddie realises that Clarrie is trying to get him to help with the milking but he still refuses. The whole plan is pie in the sky and he’s got know intention of being dragged into it. He goes off to the Bull but is even less impressed to find out everyone there knew that Clarrie had prepared her “special dinner”
Jolene is still puzzling over what to get Fallon for her 21st. She seems to have everything but what she wants most is for Ed to come home.
