Joe forgets old enmities.

Radio Times: Ed gets a full inspection.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Oliver gives Ed a hand with the early milking, and tells Ed they will have to be very careful of their hygiene now they’re making unpasteurised cheese. At first Ed thinks Oliver is being critical, but soon realises that he’s doing it for the good of the enterprise.
  • Tom helps Jazzer move the arks, and wants Jazzer to work on Saturday. Jazzer’s willing, as long as the pay is right. He teases Tom about looking tired, but Tom insists it’s because Brenda is slave-driving him over the painting. Jazzer says he’ll lend a hand – at a price. When he does, Brenda is very critical of his skills.
  • As Oliver cooks breakfast, Joe arrives to help Ed hose the parlour down – but Ed and Oliver have already done it. He stays to breakfast, and when Ed has gone to help Jazzer with the painting, Joe indulges in nostalgia about the wild flower meadow. He admits that he and Eddie were jealous when Oliver bought the farm, but things have changed; Joe can see that Oliver had faith in Ed, and he hopes that Oliver and Ed together have a lot of success at Grange Farm.
