• The wedding invitations are being sent out this week but Shula is still a little concerned with her mother’s feelings on the matter.
• Julia’s found a solution to her money problem – she’ll sell part of her share in Lower Loxley, only this doesn’t really work for Nigel and Lizzie who point out that the business couldn’t afford to buy her out and they’re not prepared to sell off any assets. Nigel suggests that she sell some of her jewelry and she’s appalled by the idea, but Nigel insists that she’s got herself into this mess and she’ll have to suffer the consequences. She tries in vain to guilt trip him over the issue, that they were all gifts from his father to her, but to no avail. She’s snooty over the potential buyers and Nigel concedes a little ground by agreeing to take her to Hatton Garden rather than Birmingham.
• George is writing his speech for tomorrow’s funeral, but Chris thinks it a little dry and factual. He reminisces a bit over the first time he met Tom and over some events in the past, particularly his overdose. He fondly recalls Tom’s wisdom and almost parental generousity to him and Chris suggests that that’s the side of him which people would want to hear about.
