Leonie warns Coriander about Lynda taking over Oscar while Lynda and Robert plan an early family Christmas.

Characters: Coriander, Leonie, Lynda, Mike, Susan, Vicky- Vicky is getting very excited about Mike’s birthday. Susan isn’t really in a party mood. She’s looking for other work and if that leaves the community shop in the lurch that’s too bad. She has even asked Sid if she could have the post office in the pub if the worst came to the worst.
- Everyone at Ambridge Hall is very tired and they are struggling to get into the Christmas spirit. Lynda wanted to see the light switch on on the village green but no one else is interested so she goes on her own.
- While Robert and Lynda go out Leonie tries to stir up some anger against Lynda with Coriander – what Lynda is doing with Oscar could even be damaging. She’s taken over Robert and she shouldn’t let Lynda do the same to Oscar. What does she know about being a parent?
- The party goes well if a little over the top. Vicky enjoys it though. She has even got a job at Lower Loxley as part of the Deck the Halls event making decorations with Joe.
- Lynda has the idea that since Oscar will be with Justin’s parents for Christmas; they should have an early Christmas when Justin gets back from America. Robert thinks that’s a great idea – they are all getting on so well.
