Lilian finds a shoulder to cry on. Brenda finds even more to celebrate. Kirsty finds a new job.

• Lilian arrives at the hotel, but Paul can’t find her at first. He’s clearly delighted to see her and pays her several compliments. Lilian’s keen to take to the dance floor.
• Kirsty tells Kathy that Kenton’s offered her a job at the revamped Jaxx. She’s very tempted – it would be nice to be appreciated, which isn’t how she feels about the Bull, though Fallon’s arrival puts a stop to the conversation. Later Kathy tells Pat how fed she is with Kenton’s obsession with his new bar.
• Pat apologises to Brenda for Helen upstaging her over the new job. Brenda understands; she and Tom are off celebrating. Jazzer wants to know why she hasn’t posted his blog yet. Brenda’s too embarrassed to tell him the real reason. Meanwhile the Community Shop raffle is drawn and Brenda wins a prize; a case of Lower Loxley wine.
• Lilian enjoys herself enormously. Paul asks about Matt, and Lilian tells him about Matt’s business ideas. She’s not at all happy about them, so Paul changes the subject. Eventually they retire to their separate rooms, and a rather fuddled Lilian invites Paul in for a drink. She opens up to Paul about Matt’s business ideas, and his secrecy over his past dealings. She’s angry with him, but Paul calms her down and helps her to sort her emotions out. Lilian dissolves in tears and Paul puts his arms round her. If he were Matt he’d be counting the days until he could be with Lilian. Lilian asks Paul to stay…
