Lynda’s llama did not die of TB. At Bridge Farm they are hoping for no TB reactors.
Radio Times: Pat puts Lynda straight and Nic comes up with an idea.
Characters: Alistair, Clarrie, Eddie, Lynda, Nic, Pat- Busy grooming her llama, Lynda seems a bit glum; Eddie doesn’t improve her mood by asking why she hasn’t moved her electric fence: the llamas would enjoy the lush grass. Lynda contrives to send Eddie packing when Alistair turns up. He has good news: Wolfgang died of chronic pneumonia and old age, not TB. That’s such a relief.
- Clarrie has seen Ed, very stiff after his two-day course. Next week he will shear some of the Brookfield flock. Eddie suggests that, for her birthday, they take some time off and stay with her sister Rosie in Great Yarmouth. Clarrie declares that she cannot take time off with things as they are at Bridge Farm. Just then a more cheerful Lynda calls to check a rumour she has heard.
- When Clarrie gets back to Bridge Farm, where Alistair is busy doing TB tests, she tells Pat about the Lynda’s rumour – that they are selling the farm and retiring! Pat calls Lynda to assure her they are not selling the farm or retiring. Where did the rumour come from? Robert heard it from Bert, who heard it in The Bull.
- Working in the village, Eddie sees Nic as she goes to the shop. He explains his problem over Clarrie’s birthday and that he is open to bright ideas. On her way back, Nic has a plan.
- Alistair has done his stuff. He will be back on Monday to check for reactors. Fingers crossed!
