Matt has heard his confiscation hearings will be in the next month and is fearing the worst.
Radio Times: Pip plays a game of avoidance at Brookfield.
Characters: David, Lilian, Matt, Peggy, Ruth, Susan- Peggy decides it’s time to have a talk with Susan. She agrees that she is entitled to redundancy money and offers her the extra money she would have got if she claimed unfair dismissal, as a token of her respect for all her hard work. Susan is really pleased. She should have known Peggy wouldn’t let her down.
- David is not looking forward to tea with Jude. Ruth bullies him into changing out of his overalls but that’s about as far as it would go. Ruth goes to quite a lot of trouble with buying cakes and biscuits but in the end they get a text saying they can’t make it after all. David wants to confront her but Ruth says they will just need to be a bit cleverer than that.
- Lilian is amazed that Matt really doesn’t seem to care about the death of his Mother. But he says he’s got more to worry about – the confiscation hearings will be heard in the next month. He really is worried about how much they will be fined. Russell thinks it could be up in the millions. All his plans could come to nothing. Lilian says she’ll always support him and Matt is really touched.
- When Peggy tells Lilian what she has decided about Susan she agrees it’s the right thing. And as she leaves Peggy, Lilian gets a text saying his mother’s funeral will be next Thursday. What is Lilian supposed to do about that?
