News of the groundwater contamination is out and Kate has stormed off in a sulk. If they don’t make peace with her she could do some real damage.
Radio Times: Brian struggles to keep his temper and Kirsty is less than impressed
Characters: Brian, David, Helen, Jennifer, Josh, Kirsty, Pip- Brian and Jennifer are enjoying Open Farm Sunday but Jennifer is worried that Kate has disappeared. Jennifer says that selling the land is bound to upset the peace of Spiritual Farm. Brian says she’ll come back when she’s calmed down. He’s already paid enough to let her research crystal goat yoga. Brian is surprised that David and Kirsty know about the ground water but it is getting around. David is surprised he is selling land but Brian says he doesn’t want to leave a huge debt for his children.
- Pip does well at Open Farm Sunday but is very tired. Helen thinks everything is going well – the best one for ages. Pip is getting huge but she hasn’t thought about any names yet. Josh finally turns up. He might even have got a couple of sales. Pip has had enough and leaves him to sort things out.
- Helen is off to the Food Awards Finals. She is pleased Olwen hasn’t wrecked her chances. Kirsty tries to persuade her that even if she doesn’t win it’s a good chance to get dressed up for the night. Kirsty thinks her meeting with Philip’s son, Gavin, was okay but it was odd when he decided to pay the bill and wouldn’t leave a tip. Then Kirsty gets a text from Gavin saying he’d like another meal at a “better restaurant”.
- David suggests they should make Ruth’s birthday more low key now the news about the groundwater is out. Jennifer thinks they can still put on a good display. Jennifer shows him Fallon’s menu. David thinks it is a bit too sophisticated for Ruth, she’d prefer something more traditional. Jennifer insists it is traditional with a twist.
- Josh is out to bribe the Echo Journalist with a burger. Pip insists if she has to order it, he can pay for hers too.
- Brian is furious that Adam left Ruth a voice mail message which David heard. And equally cross that Ruth filled in the gaps. Jennifer thinks it is all the more reason to make peace with Kate – if they don’t she could cause some real damage.
