  • Justin and Neil discuss the new proposed large pig operation. The whole parish council is on site to inspect all aspects. Justin receives a return call from Brian who reluctantly agrees to meet him later.
  • Jolene asks Nic to come into The Bull on short notice because a coach party is arriving. Nic cheerily agrees and sends Will off with a treat in his lunch. They discuss the different challenges of Joe and Emma. Justin wanted to ask about the cancelling of Brian’s award.
  • Once inside, over a cup of tea, Justin asks Neil what he thinks of the plans. Neal is positive and is pleased with the plan to keep the floor solid; better for the animals. Neal also has other suggestions and clearly, his experience is valuable. Brian comes in and Justin must leave for a bit. Brian takes the opportunity to quiz Neal about who worked on Home Farm in the 1970s. Neal does come up with Bob who had a ZZ Top style beard.
  • Jolene expresses her appreciation for Nic’s help. When Jolene sees that the Tea Room is having a Mr. and Mrs. Event, she is angry because now The Bull will have to scrap the plans they had. Nic confesses that she told Emma about the idea because she thought Kenton had refused to do it but Jolene is cross with her.
  • Will arrives home to find Nic in tears. He is angry with Emma for stealing The Bull’s idea through Nic’s casual mention. Will points out that Emma is jealous; she is bitter and eaten up with envy at all he and Nic have. But Nic is gentle and helpful and that is why Will loves her. They have something others can only dream of. They always put each other first. Nic is comforted and admits happily it is all true.
  • Justin tells Brian the sub-contractors are spreading confidential information, not all of it substantiated, and Justin tells him he tried to stop it. Brian is skeptical but Justin stresses people see this as willful neglect on Brian’s part. Brian thinks the board must give him a chance to clear his name. Justin snaps they don’t have to do anything of the sort; any more bad publicity and they will vote him off the board.
