Nic spots Will’s jealousy and insists she is not going to pay for “tramp” Emma’s behaviour.
Radio Times: Nic finds out what’s bothering Will, and Borchester Land try boxing clever with Matt.
Characters: Andrew, Brian, George, Harry, Martin, Mia, Nic, William- Brian’s chairing a special board meeting. Martin and Andrew are shouting at each other over offering Lilian a place on the board. His calming words are temporary. The vote, Brian abstains, is close; BL stick with only offering cash for the land.
- Martin later phones Brian. They both know it is unlikely Matt will yield for just cash. Martin urges a change of development, something that won’t have such large traffic needing access so Matt’s ransom strip is worthless. Brian resists but Martin says it’s time to face facts.
- Brian arrives as Will is setting off around the birds. Will has the partridge figures, 5.6 native grazed per hundred hectare, and 6.4 birds per covey. Not the tenfold increase sought so Brian joins Will with questions all the way. Will bites back a little; he said to expand the game crops, more kale, etc.
- At Casa Nueva, Mia arrives home on time. She mentions to Will that Harry dropped in and picks up on his “Did he now”. She realises Will is jealous and that all his visits to the pub where to check up on her. After being cheated on herself, she can’t believe Will might think she’d do the same to him. Does Will think Clarrie is cheating on his dad when she smiles at a customer? Well then he shouldn’t think Nic is just because of that stupid tramp Emma and what she did to him. Nic is not going to spend her life paying for the mistakes of that woman. Will needs to stop being paranoid and have a bit of faith in her.
