Oliver tells Mike he is closing the herd. Ed and Emma begin to plan their life together.

Radio Times: Oliver has an announcement to make.

• Pip is doing well with her stock judging but she’ll need more practice before the Young Farmers competition. She’s really getting involved with Young Farmers. She’s preparing for a charity show now too and thinks David should go as Jimmy Saville.
• Oliver breaks the news to Mike that he is going to wind up the herd. Obviously it will take some time. He can’t do anything quickly until the herd is clear of TB but then he is going to sell up. Mike tries to persuade him to change his mind but Oliver just doesn’t have the fight for it. Mike does persuade him to put off telling Ed for a while – until there is no shadow of doubt.
• Emma and Ed get used to being back together. They’ll have to tell people soon. And that means telling Will first. Ed wants them to move in together straight away – it will be easier now Ed is working for Oliver. Maybe Hollerton would be okay. But being together is the main thing.
