Radio Times: Eddie is selling finest quality mistletoe, while Rob has an idea about Christmas.

Characters: , , , ,
  • Rob is missing a day of hunting to lend a hand for the Bridge Farm shop opening. After all, Helen can’t be overdoing things. She needs all the support she can get during the run up to Christmas. She leaves a message on Ian’s phone as she thinks it’s odd she’s not heard from him. Rob brushes it off: Ian is probably busy and anyway, when will Henry’s sheep costume be completed for the nativity? While Helen wants to support Pat, who is hosting Christmas Day for everyone, Rob has other ideas about the three of them spending Christmas quietly in their own home. He leaves an astonished Helen to make the decision.
  • Joe and Eddie are gathering in the mistletoe and try their sales pitch with Rob as they think it could sell well at the new shop. Rob queries the organic nature of it but is only teasing them. He thinks it is a good idea and places an order. They’re in luck with Elizabeth too, who agrees they can have a stall at Deck the Halls.
  • Elizabeth pops into the new shop and is persuaded by Helen to stay for some lunch. Elizabeth is missing Jill’s presence at Lower Loxley, especially with the busy time of year. Elizabeth updates Helen on Calendar Girls. A replacement for Carol has been found.
  • Clarrie wants to get people together for carols on the Green, followed by drinks at The Bull. Joe objects to supporting the business since the refurbishment as it’s not the same as it was and he’s not found his place in the new surroundings. The offer of a couple of free drinks soon changes his mind.
