  • David is still worrying about Pip. Jennifer tells him Alice also found it a big step up at college but Pip is convinced she is the only one not coping.
  • Wayne is very excited about his second blues evening. But Fallon is putting thoughts of music behind her. With no guitarist there is no hope of a come back. Wayne tries to persuade her it isn’t all lost. She isn’t persuaded.
  • Jennifer finds Peggy in tears because she let Jack got out. She won’t be convinced it wasn’t her fault. She admits she isn’t coping. She doesn’t want to keep him in but he is so restless and is beginning not to recognise Peggy. On top of all this, how can she let people down by closing the shop? People depend on her. Later when she’s had a rest, she finally admits she can’t care for him any longer. It’s time for him to go into residential care and not just for respite, for good.
