Pip is getting very disturbed by the atmosphere at Brookfield.

Radio Times: Neil finds a new helper.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • David apologises to Neil but is still pretty snappy when the conversation turns to Sam. Then Daniel brings the news that Neil’s pigs have escaped. Daniel turns out to be quite a good helper in getting them back.
  • Jill is practising being frightening but it’s not really working. She’s going to try method acting. She just has to think wicked. She’s still worried about David and Ruth but Phil doesn’t know what they can do. She wishes at least he would tell her what was going on – all kinds of things are going through her head now.
  • Phil and Jill both end up popping round to Brookfield “to see how things are”. They end up planning Bert’s retirement party when Pip rushes in and says the boys won’t come out of the tree house and David rushes out in a fury. Pip feels she is being blamed for everything – for the children and for Ruth and David rowing. The boys are still very unsettled about Sam going and Pip thinks he went because Ruth and David were arguing all the time – she hates it all.
