Radio Times: Roy may have to speak up

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Josh tries to convince his parents that a 20 year old loader is worth the money he paid. He claims it only needs cleaning up. He wants the storage space but Pip comes up and reveals that Josh hasn’t yet paid for the machinery. He hopes to clean it up quickly and sell it on to procure the cash to pay for it. He admits to being a bit cash strapped. Josh accuses Pip of being jealous and they get into an argument where each sibling says unfair things about the other.
  • Kirsty wakes up a tired Roy. He hoped to spend time with Lexi but it is getting difficult to fit everything in. Kirsty is happy for him but Roy alludes to Lexi’s departure in a few weeks. Kirsty encourages him to seize the day and not worry about the future. Enjoy it while it lasts.
  • Pip talks with her parents about her fill in milking job. It isn’t anything exciting nor is it an opportunity to learn but Pip protests it’s just a job. Ruth wants Pip to work more on Brookfield but she still feels the necessity to earn money.
  • Roy takes a break from cricket practice. Roy’s plan to see Lexi didn’t work out because she needed to Skype her oldest daughter about minor problems. Kirsty tries to cheer Roy up but he confesses that he is really falling for Lexi in a big way. It can’t go anywhere and Roy is despondent. Kirsty encourages him to talk to Lexi about his feelings. Grab what he has before it is too late, advises Kirsty.
  • When Roy comes home, he tells Kirsty he has thought about it and he is going to take her advice. Kirsty repeats that Lexi needs to know how Roy feels. Roy needs a plan. There is a pop-up street food festival this weekend. He will find somewhere quiet and romantic and tell Lexi how he feels about her. Go for it, cries Kirsty.
  • Pip describes the Holstein herd who seem all right. The farmer, though, is a constant complainer. Ruth says it sounds horrible and they don’t need the extra money. David argues it is Pip’s choice. Josh runs in and announces that Ben hadn’t moved his loader; someone has stolen it!
