Shula thinks Matt is the source of the gossip about the stables and Alistair. Emma is out to give Robert a fight in the election.

Radio Times: Shula’s suspicions are aroused

Characters: Elizabeth, Emma, Kenton, Lynda, Nic, Shula

• Shula hasn’t heard anything from Anisha. Anisha’s mother was her father’s carer. Alistair has said she should take all the time she needs. But it is putting such stress. Alistair has been found to be at no fault over the dead horse but it will take ages for the rumours to die down.
• Emma is upset that Robert’s flyers look much better than hers. Nic tries to be positive – lots of nasal hairs in Robert photo. She thinks it is laughable. Emma isn’t convinced. Then Lynda arrives and criicess Emma’s table manners over a bacon sandwich. Lynda is still looking for someone to take over the direction of the Christmas show and leaves a poster but not before criticising Emma for having a spot of sauce on her blouse. Nic tries to reassure her that they need a young mum, not another old fogey to make up the quota.
• Elizabeth wants to have a chat with Pip. She must tell her parents that she is back with Toby. They don’t want to find out that it is a secret again. Pip says she isn’t sure where she is at yet but she won’t be giving Toby the key for some time. She’ll be back at Rickyard while Ruth and David are on holiday in Portugal.
• Shula bumps into Lynda at Grey Gables when they see Matt with Latif. He seems to want to get Shula’s attention.
• Shula meets Kenton in The Bull. She admits she is worried that something is going on. Roberta is just a stable hand. How can she have brought two businesses to their knees and she couldn’t have caused Latif to pull out. But she saw Matt with him – could he have done something? Kenton thinks he is leaving soon so no problem but Shula thinks it might be one last stab….. Is Matt just out to get them because they found Latif without him. Shula won’t let him get away with it.
• Emma has cheered herself up. She might not be able to produce great leaflets but if Robert is strong and stable, she has energy and empathy. She will be talking to the mother and baby group. She may not win but she can put up a good fight.
