• Lynda and Robert arrive back in Ambridge in time for Vicky’s dinner party. Lynda politely avoids complaining about the environmental impact of the hundreds of garden lights and the patio heaters, intending to educate Vicky later, although she does manage a complaint about all the moths.
• Annette has finished with Max the builder. He’s moving to a new construction job in Loughborough in a month’s time and doesn’t want a long distance relationship. He did want to carry on for another month but Annette sent him packing.
• Susan finally catches on that Peggy’s accountant has recommended the shop be turned into a flat. Annette knew after overhearing Helen’s phone call, and Vicky knew from Brenda. Unusual for Susan to be the last with the gossip. She interrupts Vicky’s dinner party to seek confirmation.
