• The fete goes off well though Joe is disappointed that his Angel of Ambridge doesn’t win the plinth prize. Shula seems to get the upper hand when she persuades Nigel to attack Jim with a wet sponge during his 15 minute session. At least Joe feels a bit better when it turns out that the prize is not a work of art but a book of pictures of Gormley’s statues.
• Lilian is still very depressed so Jolene ends up promising to go to see how Matt is during the week.
