Toby’s video doesn’t meet with Lilian’s approval and the Grundys face another house move.

Radio Times: Lilian makes herself clear, and the Grundys enjoy a summer tradition.

  • The Grundy men are mowing hay and enjoying the summer weather. Joe reminisces about mowing in the distant past to some mild teasing by his family members who have heard all the stories many times. Clarrie brings a picnic lunch. Joe enjoys it a great deal and begins again to tell the same tales. They are happy about the new road missing Ambridge but Clarrie notes that many folks in the path of the chosen route will be displaced. There are several sad stories, she relates. Clarrie tells everyone Alan thanked a mystery benefactor who replaced the money which went missing. Now the new curtains can be ordered. Eddie says it is the first time he’s been called a mystery benefactor and he hopes Lynda Snell is happy.
  • Rex and Toby are busy settling in the goslings. Rex announces he is feeling more confident than last year but Toby blusters that he felt fine in their first year as well as this one. We barely knew what we were doing, Rex argues, but he lets it go and shows Toby the rota he has created for collecting eggs while he will be gone. Toby objects that Josh isn’t doing much but Rex points out that Josh has exams. Lilian calls about the drone video in which the Demara logo features prominently. Toby has neglected to talk to Justin about permission but luckily for him, Lilian has discussed it with Justin and he has delegated Lilian to handle all matters relating to the drone video. She arranges a meeting with Toby at the Dower House to view the video before it goes online. Lilian does not approve of the video and if Toby insists on using it, he will not be able to use the Demara logo on the egg boxes. The film is amateurish and Toby’s voice over is phoney. It must be much more professional if Toby wants a relationship with Justin.
  • Ed tells his parents Tom was looking for an excuse to get away from Bridge Farm. He may go with Ed and Jazzer to a sheering job in Wales. Tom could help roll fleeces and clean up a bit. If Tom can be spared from the farm, he will go. The Grundys talk about moving on to #1 The Green although Ed and Emma will be displaced. Susan is really happy to see us back, Ed bravely asserts. Clarrie is worried, though, about Caroline and Oliver coming back to see the pigs, the cider club and the big wall crack.
