  • Neil is delivering more pigs to Tom. He’s struggling a bit without his parents and Pip disappearing doesn’t help. Tony and Pat seem to be enjoying themselves though.
  • Brian and Jennifer are off to the Dower House. Jennifer thinks the offer is kind but Brian thinks it means that Matt is plotting something. Jennifer says she’d rather talk to Chris and Alice. She is sure something is wrong.
  • Tom notices one of the weaners is scratched. Neil offers to knock something off it but Tom won’t have anything of it. His bigger problem is finding extra pig meat. There are lots of outdoor herds but not many organic. So he’s thinking about going non-organic again. Neil isn’t sure it’s the right plan to put all his organic provenance at risk – plus he’d have to slash his prices. He’ll have to talk it through with Pat and Tony.
  • The first topic of conversation at the Dower House is Chris’s article in Borchester Life. Susan has been behaving as if he’s royalty. But even Brian admits the Paper Mill is a good deal. Jennifer isn’t sure and Brian also thinks it might be a high risk. It’s not a time to be selling high quality apartments. Maybe the river might help. When Brian and Matt disappear for a smoke and a gossip, Jennifer asks Lilian again if she thinks she is doing the right thing. She is worried it is too much for Matt, he’s not good under pressure but Lilian is adamant it’s the right thing and will be a chance for Matt to get back on his financial feet. But Jennifer thinks her whole future is at risk. Lilian claims she knows exactly what she’s doing.
