  • Tom manages to repair the pig ark that was damaged because he didn’t heed Jazzer’s warning, as Jazzer keeps pointing out. He is astounded later when Tony agrees to pay for his lower-energy lighting plans and on top of that they can still go ahead with the parlour’s new refrigeration unit. Tony knows it makes sense and say he won’t get any peace until he agrees.
  • Tony is going to the race night; it means he will miss hearing Kathy talk about Jamie yet again. Eddie tells Jazzer that Nathan lapped up their plan; Nathan will win one race and then lose a couple to look like a real punter, suckering him in for the auction at the end. Jazzer is bemused to find Clarrie is in on it.
  • Elizabeth and Nigel runs through all their Christmas plans. What with the German market, ice rink, horse-drawn carriage, and lots more Lizzie sounds genuinely excited about the spectacle. In the New Year they’re going to hold an informal open house where friends and family can all come over.
  • Helen’s knee is still painful, unsurprisingly since she has continued swimming until today. Pat and Kirsty lay into her about needed to rest and she says she will but Pat doubts whether she will look after herself.
