Vicky is on edge. David isn’t any more. Amside is near the edge.

Radio Times: Matt piles on the pressure and there is welcome news for David.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • At Amside HQ, Brenda has a few problems to report, including a final demand; she is to make excuses, sweet talk them, anything but pay. Amside has a cash flow problem. With Brenda at lunch, Matt calls Darrell: he is to wait where he is until Matt comes over.
  • Brenda finds Vicky doing duty in the shop – but clearly stressed. She calls on her later at home and learns that she has an appointment tomorrow, though not what it is for.
  • Ruth has been trying to take David’s mind off the possibility of appearing as a witness; the thugs are in court today. She suggests a party but he is not interested. Later however he gets a call from the police to say that they have all pleaded guilty, so he won’t be needed. Now what about this party! Adam looks at the Brookfield cows and realises that he must get his head round this dairy business; at least he won’t be solely responsible for feeding the vast herd; Debbie is confident they will get other feed suppliers.
  • Darrell is openly irritated at been kept idle when he could be back at the Walters’. Matt lays it on the line: Amside has cash-flow problems; they need to realise under-performing assets or there will likely be no job for either Darrell or Matt. Pussy-footing around the Walters isn’t helping. Darrell needs to find something extra wrong with the house; he is the expert; Matt will leave it up to him – and of course this conversation never happened.
