Will makes a point of celebrating family life. Elizabeth hears some better news.
Radio Times: Roy has everything under control and Will piles on the pressure.
Characters: Clarrie, Eddie, Elizabeth, Nic, Roy, William- Roy loses no time in convincing Elizabeth of his worth, and she seems relaxed and willing to take time off with the children, knowing that he has everything under total control. Her main worry is the prospect of telling Jessica that the falconry business must find a new home.
- Nic is on edge when Will calls in at Casa Nueva with bottles of sparkling wine and flowers for Clarrie’s birthday meal. Nic has made a birthday cake, and Will says, with great self-satisfaction, that it will be a birthday to remember.
- Roy asks Elizabeth how Jessica took the news about the falcons. She was upset, but could see Elizabeth’s problem. With some lack of tact, Roy comments that visitors love the falcons because they are a taste of ancestry and heritage. Elizabeth can only agree. She does cheer up when she opens an email from the vinery; Lower Loxley wine has achieved regional status. Roy thinks they should celebrate English wine week.
- Clarrie and Eddie enjoy Nic’s cooking, and Joe enjoys reading to Jake and Mia. George has to go back home after the cake is cut, and Will loses no time in commenting that he is confused by the decision to curtail his overnight stays. Nic is very quiet, and when Clarrie says how like Will George is, and how much she loved her babies, Nic leaves the room.
