  • Matt is still being encouraging of Lilian’s business ideas. When she points out Sunday is a day of rest he gets them squeezed in at the club for an afternoon round of golf. Gerry Morton riles him briefly; “Fancy seeing you here Matt, and in your own clothes. Thought you’d be in an orange jumpsuit”. He’ll show Gerry and the rest of the backstabbing BL board; these properties are just the start.
  • The village shop is busy. Jill is pleased to see it being supported, but perhaps Sabrina being today’s team leader may have something to do with it? She tells Bert that David thinks there’s room enough for both his and the Grundy’s events. Josh is happy to record another cooking lesson. Jill has had so many requests to do another. Bert thinks it’s because the youth of today weren’t taught how to cook.
  • Pip’s still swotting away, her last two exams are Chemistry tomorrow and biology the day after, so she doesn’t make an impromptu picnic with her dad, gran, Josh and Bert. They come up with a plot for Bert’s talk at Farm Sunday based on all the little things he could draw from his pockets.
