Adam is predictably unimpressed by Debbie’s news.

Radio Times: Kathy gets a makeover.

Characters: , , , , , , ,
  • Debbie seizes the opportunity for a word with an already tetchy brother. She tells him about Matt’s offer and he is not entirely convinced that she will have the interests of Home Farm at heart – or his! He is surprised to learn that she is not packing in the Hungary job but both Matt and Dad (yes, he already knows) think she can do both. Keep him informed.
  • As Kathy window-shops in a ‘too expensive to buy’ store, she encounters Lilian and then Debbie and is persuaded to join them for a girls’ afternoon out – hairdo, new outfit etc. Better visit the cash point first!
  • An even tetchier Adam returns home to find Ian chilling out on his day off; no cleaning has been done and the place is a pigsty. They agree to eat at The Bull and Adam keeps to himself the reason for being like a bear with a sore head.
  • David is taking the opportunity of a break from the lambing shed to grab a quick pint; he may regret it later. Jolene has no news about The Bull and Sid is fed up because custom is dropping off in the restaurant without Freda. When the new Kathy puts in an appearance, she is greeted with a chorus of wows; Jolene is less fulsome. Lynda, when she turns up, joins the approving throng; she announces that, because of Phoebe’s near-miss, she is taking action over the off-roaders by mounting a 24 hour surveillance of the bridleways – day and night (sic)!
