Pat plans to take Tom to the supermarket meeting. Matt plans not to take Lilian to Paris.

Radio Times: Tony decides to count his blessings.

  • Pat has bound a copy of her presentation to the supermarket people, next week, so that she will have something to leave with them. Good idea, says Tony. Eh! It seems that Pat’s words about him being so negative have hit home; now he wants to go with her!
  • There’s another picture from India – Freda on a camel. (The BBC is sparing no expense to make this realistic!) Lynda has organised the first bridleway night watch tonight with herself and David – lucky man.
  • Matt has put his foot down: he needs Jade all day. Also, he gives Lilian notice of a conference in Paris; good, she will come too.
  • Preparing for Brenda’s birthday party tomorrow, Roy has a quiet word with Tom. He wants to be sure that Tom will not mess her about, as he did Kirsty over Tamsin. She is not over her mum’s death. Tom knows; he was with her at the time; and he knows how long it takes. Pat breaks up the conversation and then invites Tom to accompany her to the supermarket meeting, about which he is very pleased. Tony is miffed but has to accept that Tom’s knowledge is more recent and Pat wants him back in the family business.
  • Matt has still not gone to his office but he has news for Lilian: she cannot go to Paris as he will have to be available 24 x 7. Will Jade be going? Matt thinks that delegates are expected to provide their own admin support. He thinks Lilian’s jealousy is ridiculous; she hopes it is a very productive conference. (That was spoken like a woman with an ace up her sleeve.)
