Brian is going to Ireland and tries to persuade Jennifer to go with him to stop Niamh taking Ruairidh.

Radio Times: Siobhán considers a backup plan.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Siobhán is feeling a little less tired than she was so at least she can be more of a mother to Ruairidh. Meanwhile, Niamh has agreed to take Ruairidh on if Siobhán names her as his Guardian. Siobhán doesn’t want to do it but she feels she has no choice. Her Mother can’t look after him and she has pressurised Niamh to agree. Brian doesn’t think that a sense of duty is enough to bring up a child. He says he is definitely flying over.
  • David is also getting worried about whether Home Farm is going to contract out. Brookfield might not be interested in using the same contractors. Does seem like odd timing to David. But Adam is going to check them out anyway.
  • Adam didn’t think the contractors were too bad. They’d probably do a decent job. He still thinks it’s a silly idea but he doubts Brian will even ask how it went. He really isn’t thinking about the farm at the moment. Ian thinks someone should tell Debbie what is going on but Adam doesn’t think it should come from him. It will look like he’s trying to drive a wedge between Brian and Debbie. It’s awful for everyone. Brian didn’t deserve it and it’s worse for Jennifer. She is being so brave but she is still stuck at Home Farm.
  • Brian tells Jennifer that Niamh will take Ruairidh and she is really pleased. But Brian says he’s not going settle for that and is going to Ireland. He tries to persuade her to come with him – if only she’d meet him. But Jennifer can’t trust him, all the lies. He can’t love her or how could he even think about going. Brian is adamant he does. But he loves his son too and he is going to Ireland whether she comes or not.
