Brian vetoes any further loss-making entertainment.

Radio Times: Tom makes a bad day worse for Helen.

Characters: , , , , , , ,
  • Kenton and Kathy still have not told Jamie about their impending marriage; Brian suggests that Kenton does it sooner rather than later as it is all round the village.
  • Helen is feeling rough and Tom has absolutely no sympathy. She feels she has the right to a bit of fun and she was not impressed with killjoy Brenda on holiday.
  • Daniel lets the cat out of the bag, telling Jamie that they will be cousins. Kenton assures Jamie, as Sid requested, that he will not become his dad. Kathy encourages Jamie to be honest about how he feels but he responds that Kenton is great and they should get married – not the answer she wanted! He thinks Kenton makes his mum laugh.
  • Brian calls to ask Tom about the outcome of the party. He had not heard about Helen and Jazzer but does feel that a loss-making event yielding no new sales is a step too far. Keep the radio advert going but abandon all other promotions.
  • Kathy is having lunch with Pat, who is amazed to hear that she still has not come clean with Kenton. She cannot find the right moment but she will – straight after Christmas.
