Radio Times: Lynda’s in the mood for dancing.

  • Ian makes breakfast in bed for Adam, whose appreciation is a little grudging. Ian says he’s pleased Adam is thinking more about the baby, but Adam won’t be drawn. Ian mentions that he’s going to Bicester tomorrow to check out a new restaurant. When Adam says he’d like to have the time to come too, Ian sounds jumpy.
  • Discussing the cricket, Sid and Alistair agree that they need more athletic fielders. Sid suggests approaching his contact at the primary school, who helps Sid with the coaching. Alistair’s all for it, especially since Fallon has made it clear that she most definitely isn’t going to be used as bait for Kevin the bowler.
  • Ian phones Madds from work to arrange their meeting in Bicester but is interrupted by Lynda, who is very disapproving of Ian’s installing a big screen TV in the kitchen for the match. Ian manages to keep his temper, but is relieved when he’s needed in the kitchen.
  • Ambridge does well against Loxley Barratt, despite Adam having to work. After the match, Alistair calls to see Charlie, Nelson Gabriel’s old spaniel. He warns them that she hasn’t long to live. Lizzie explains this to the twins, who rush off to draw pictures of Charlie in heaven with Grandma.
  • The match is quite a draw at the Bull. Lynda and Robert arrive, though Lynda is quick to explain that the only reason they haven’t bought a similar set themselves is that it’s vulgar. Then Adam arrives, and Lynda annoys Sid by commenting on the wonderfully strong relationship between Ian and Adam. When Lynda suggests that Jamie might join the maypole dancing team, Sid is apoplectic.
