  • Eddie brings Clarrie home with her new plaster and assures her that he and Joe will take care of all the chores – and promptly disappears. Joe asks what Clarrie has for tea. When she suggests cold chicken, he decides he would rather have a pie. Fine, says Clarrie; you make the pastry.
  • Will moans to Eddie about the shoot and its problems. Eddie tries to sound interested, but is more concerned about the turkeys. He wants Will to come and help. Will protests that he has far too much to do on the shoot, but somewhat grudgingly agrees to come and so some plucking.
  • Phoebe is sad about Kate’s month in South Africa, and tells Nic all about it when they meet at the Christmas lights switch-on. When Nic tells Kate that she must be looking forward to seeing Nollie and Sipho, Kate seems unwilling to talk about it, and when she meets Will, she is even less willing to be specific about the actual length of the university holiday.
  • Joe does his best with the pastry, but the result is none too appetising. Eddie and Clarrie meet up with Will on the Green, and Clarrie thanks him for his help with the turkeys. Will’s mood turns angry when he discovers Ed will be helping too. It takes the combined powers of Clarrie, Eddie and Nic to calm him. Nic says she will be there to help. He mustn’t let people down.
