Ed thinks he and Emma might be able to find a house to rent soon.

Radio Times: Elizabeth has a crisis of confidence, and Ed has high hopes.

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • Emma is starting the baking with Fallon and isn’t taking on the idea that Fallon and PC Burns wasn’t a Jazzer set up. Ed appears and sulks that he can’t make his lunch which is obviously more important than Emma earning some money.
  • Loxfest is still hugely difficult. Roy wants to stick with the first band but others are pulling out. Elizabeth starts blaming Roy and he tries to remind her that it is for the children and Nigel. Elizabeth tells him he shouldn’t dare.
  • Fallon is stuffing cakes into freezers all over Ambridge. Jolene is more concerned that Harrison isn’t really focussed on his songs. There is no spark. Fallon agrees to help. She suggests Wayne might be the answer but Jolene isn’t keen. After a row, calling him seems to be the obvious choice.
  • The ticket sales are really bad for Loxfest. Radio Borchester want Elizabeth to do another interview. Elizabeth wants Roy to do it but Freddie tries to convince her to do the real thing. He says it is what Dad would have done. She mustn’t give up on it now.
  • Ed is thrilled to find out he has got some cultivation work….. as many hours as he wants. The work isn’t on the estate. Emma sounds vaguely pleased but she says she has too much work to do too so wants him to do childcare. Ed insists that this is a time to make more money. This might be the one chance to get a place of their own. They’d be stupid to let it go. (Ed: Though last week Ed couldn’t afford to take Emma for a meal at The Bull and now thinks they have a deposit on a house).
